Single Tooth Implants

A single tooth implant is a type of implant used to replace an individual tooth. A single post provides support for a single crown. It is possible to have more than one single tooth implant in your mouth. They can be used to replace single missing teeth in different areas of your mouth or individual teeth that are side by side.

Multiple Teeth Implants

A multiple teeth implant is also commonly called an implant supported bridge. This restoration is used to replace two or more missing teeth in a row, providing you with an alternative to a traditional bridge or partial denture. The number of posts needed to support the restoration varies from patient to patient and depends on several different factors.

Implant Supported Dentures

An implant supported denture is a treatment used to replace an entire arch of missing teeth. This may be your upper arch, your lower arc, or even both arches. Typically, an implant supported denture uses 6 to 8 posts to provide support for your new teeth.

Bar Retained Dentures

A bar retained denture is a type of implant supported denture. This type of denture is sometimes used when you are missing an entire arch of teeth, but do not have the bone mass necessary to support 6 to 8 implant posts. A bar retained denture uses only 4 posts. After the posts are placed, a titanium bar is attached to them. Your teeth then clip into place onto the bar, and can easily snap off for cleaning. With this treatment, you can receive a full arch restoration without the need for a bone graft first.

All on 4 Treatment Concept

The All on 4 treatment concept is a common treatment used to replace an entire arch of missing teeth when you do not have the bone mass necessary to support 6 to 8 posts. All on 4 uses only 4 posts, which are strategically placed in your jawbone to maximize contact between the posts and your bone. After your implants have been placed and you have healed from surgery, your dental restorations are secured into place with small screws.

Mini Dental Implants

Mini dental implants are a type of dental implant that is much smaller than traditional implant posts. They are approximately the thickness of a toothpick and can be used in situations where regular implants cannot. They can replace teeth in narrow locations or teeth that are small. They can also be used to anchor a traditional denture in place. A mini dental implant post has a small ball on the end. Your replacement teeth, then snap into place over the ball and are secured using an elastic O-ring.
